The music world has so far only received brief examples of what makes Wild Gloriosa a name you need to be paying attention to, but thankfully that’s all about to change with the arrival of All Wishes Come True ahead of her forthcoming Growing Pains EP.

Wild Gloriosa – that is, the musical project of Djilang/Geelong-based Gloria Ragesh – has been sharing music for a couple of years now, having first made her debut in 2023 with Joy, before following it up with Lover Girl the next year.

At every turn, however, she managed to turn heads thanks to her velvety smooth vocals and impeccably well-crafted musical vibes, leaning into a blissful world of jazzy neo soul and R&B.

Now, she’s returned with her latest track, unveiling the equally gorgeous All Wishes Come True, which arrives as a rumination around a situation in which jealousy between friends of each other's achievements leads to a parting of ways.

Though the comparisons to names like Hiatus Kaiyote and Erykah Badu are easy to make, Wild Gloriosa’s sound is a singularly impressive one that is rooted in individualism and a desire to forge one’s own path. The result is a track which touched on the importance of uplifting others, especially those we trust and love, while allowing Gloria’s impeccable vocals to take centre stage.

“This song is a reflection of a friendship I had,” she explains. “One that consisted of one-sided jealousy. It’s a plea to that friend, wondering why we can’t both be successful together instead of pitting ourselves against each other.”

The new track will appear as the opening track to her forthcoming EP, Growing Pains, which is scheduled to arrive on April 26th. It’s the culmination of a few years spent harnessing her raw talent on the local music scene, with countless live appearances – including spots supporting Jessica Mauboy, The Jungle Giants, The Bamboos, and more – cementing her status as a musical force to be reckoned with.

The release of All Wishes Come True will be celebrated in just a couple of weeks with a special performance at the Barwon Club in Geelong. Supported by the talented Madeleine Cope, tickets to the event are on sale now.

Wild Gloriosa’s All Wishes Come True is out now, while her Growing Pains EP releases on April 26th, with pre-orders available now.
