Cool SoundsAscendant Melbourne outfit Cool Sounds have been busy people lately, ramping up towards the release of their impending debut LP by unveiling cracking new single In Blue Skies and its accompanying video clip, proudly premiering on theMusic.com.au today.
Brandishing a minimalist approach and several household items, the ethereal, understated tune floats along gorgeously as the band lovingly stare at (and fondle/make out with) a hammer, a dumbbell, a basketball, a rock and other objects. It's hypnotic, and we can't even begin to explain why. All we know is that, suddenly, three minutes were over and we were feeling a bunch more amorous towards the crap on our desks than we were when it all began.
In Blue Skies is the second single to come from the upcoming album, titled Dance Moves. It's due for release later this year.
