Sydney musician Amastro – real name Angus Murphy – has charmed the country with his refined, clanging productions twice this year already, firstly teaming up with Sara Flint for Don't Let Me before taking a more independent route for Sober two months back. His new single Attracted 2 sees the evolving name reconnect with past collaborator Ned Philpot for a sound which is distinctly more relaxed and subdued than his previous work, with soothing synth melodies harmonising with the teasing vocals of both Murphy and Philpot. The loved-up, R&B-leaning single is an exercise in restraint and control, with the producer – no stranger to charging melodies and deep bass kicks – electing to keep this more intricate and inviting for his third single of the year. It comes with the promise of a couple of tour dates before the year's out, so keep an eye out for them when they drop very, very soon. In the meantime, listen to the single below.
