Grab some mini prawn tacos, jalapeno poppers, or chilli salt squid... There are no wrong choices.
Melbourne favourite Northcote Social Club has had a facelift and the menu hasn't been left behind.
The live music institution's kitchen is headed by European-trained chef Martin De Korte, who has knocked up a menu that takes locally sourced ingredients and offers modern fare without discarding those pub classics (you'll still find the traditional chicken parma available, don't worry).
There's an extensive range of burgers on offer from old staples wagyu beef and pork belly to intriguing new items like the 'roo fillet with onion jam and wattle seed mayo. For the vegos among you some of the many choices include a slow-roasted field mushroom burger, a hearty pumpkin and lentil curry, and salads that draw from Asian fusion and Mexican cuisine.
Or if you're just looking for a snack before hitting a gig, or to complement your beer, grab some mini prawn tacos, jalapeno poppers, or chilli salt squid... There are no wrong choices.
