American rapper and internet personality Bhad Bhabie (real name Danielle Bregoli) has revealed that she’s been diagnosed with cancer at age 21.

Taking to her Instagram Stories yesterday (8 November), the rapper responded to weight loss rumours by sharing that her cancer medication has led to her losing weight.

“I’m sorry my cancer medication made me loose [sic] weight,” she wrote. “Im slowly gaining it back. So stop running w the worst narratives.”

Her mother, Barbara Bregoli, confirmed that her daughter has cancer on Instagram after Perez Hilton claimed that Bhad Bhabie could be lying about her health for attention.

“I’m pretty heated right now,” Barbara responded to Hilton in an Instagram video. “How dare you? I pray to God one of your children never get cancer. I’ve had it twice. How dare you say my daughter is faking this?”

Neither Danielle nor Barbara confirmed what type of cancer the rapper has been diagnosed with or what medication she’s taking to treat it.

In March, Bhad Bhabie gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Kali Rose, with fellow rapper Le Vaughn.

Bhad Bhabie hasn’t released music since the 2021 singles Bi Polar and Miss Understood. She was most active in her music career from 2017 to 2020, but in 2019, she enjoyed success from her reality TV show, Bringing Up Bhabie.

The rapper made her Australian debut in December 2018, performing an all-ages show at Brisbane’s Eatons Hill Hotel.

In a review of the show, The Music’s Tayla Gavin described it as an “experience.”

Gavin added, “As the night comes to an end, Bhad Bhabie does not simmer down. Hi Bich and Gucci Flip Flops see the setlist to an end with Bregoli freestyling with no backing track, calling out Iggy Azalea.

“A performance that needs to be seen to truly understand what an unusual experience it is, it's not only entertaining but surprisingly good. Thank you, Bhad Bhabie!”
