Have you been involved with Multicultural Arts Victoria before? Yes, Visible programs, and Emerge projects in my hometown of Shepparton. Also, another program which MAV partnered with me on in Shepparton.

How do you define Multi Futurism? Varying degrees of people with a deeply rooted sense of cultural values that are of their forebears, equipped with a sense of energy that also enables them to propel into what may be deemed as futurism.

When's the last time your particular sound was given a generic 'world music' label? Has it happened often? I'm not sure if people deem my music as such, but I can foresee the fact that, as my music (at times) contains very strong Indigenous aspects, it may be put in the 'world music' category.

Why do you think people shoehorn all these eclectic musical styles into one box? It is a very unfortunate thing, and for me it speaks volumes of a largely Anglo-driven reductionist fetishising of those things that fall outside the roots of the white-controlled, English speaking, Western world.

Where are you in the broad musical spectrum of Multi Futurism? I see my music as simultaneously ancient and of the future, which aligns with my Indigenous spirituality of the Dreaming being linked to all things, not one tangible extractable formation in history or physical manifestation.

Who else are you excited to see on the bill? All the acts will be amazing and I can't wait to hear everyone do their thing on the night.
