L-Fresh The Lion and Remi kill it on Hold Up..
"Omg he looks so much like Wiz Khalifa! (Noooooooo)," is probably one of the best lines I've heard from an Australian rapper all year, so props to you Remi. The track in question is a collaboration between L-Fresh The Lion, who stormed on the scene with his LAV last year, and Remi. Hold Up isn't being styled as a proper single but it will be appearing on L-Fresh's album next year and it's definitely something you need to hear before the year ends. Starting out as a chat about the shit people say to L-Fresh and Remi at gigs it eventually boils down to a tongue-in-cheek song that points out saying, "That's a nice beard, can I braid it?" Or something that insinuates they look like every other black person in the world isn't the best idea. And it's cool that you can laugh along with L-Fresh and Remi, learn something about their lives and (hopefully) learn about race all the while vibing out to a good song.
