The members of Sydney-bred punk supergroup Ivan Drago may have already-pretty-packed schedules, but they've still managed to find the time to come together from some of the city's other current and past acts such as Sniperival, Chris Duke & The Royals, The Brothers Nude and others to create an outfit that is a force well and truly unto itself. Now, the band stand poised to unleash their eagerly awaited self-titled debut full-length album, proudly premiering on theMusic.com.au today.
To be fair, it took them a while to get here, with co-frontman Brendan Kennedy once describing it as "the Chinese Democracy of Sydney punk rock" owing to its protracted incubation — but given how busy the individual members keep, it'd be unreasonable to hold it against them. Besides, it's not like it's not been worth the wait — either way, at last, the lads got their shit together enough to compile a collection of 10 blistering, infectious punk ditties sure to set your fist a'pumping and your mouth a'smiling ahead of the album's official release at the end of the week.
