How many releases do you have now?

This is my debut EP.

How long did it take to write/record?

It took three years to write and record. It was going to be an album, so there were about 15 songs we wrote and recorded. But I decided an EP was more fitting for my debut.

What was inspiring you during the making of the EP?

Love, cups of tea, music like Portishead, Jeff Buckley, Lamb and Björk. Poetry. The two producers of the EP Jono Steer and Leigh Fisher.

What's your favourite song on it?

Hold On, it was written through a trying period. I wrote it quite quickly and then Leigh and Jono added some beautiful textures to the song. It's quite minimal and stripped back and features the vocal of Mark Pearl from Texture Like Sun. He has an amazing voice and I am so lucky to have worked with him.

We'll like the EP if we like…

Chill-out electronica with live instrumentation.

Will you be launching it?

Yes, at The Toff In Town on Thursday 31 May with support from Sophie Koh.
