Business: The Windish Agency
Position/Title: Agent
How did you first become involved in the music business? In 2007 I was interning at a small record label in San Francisco, which was in the same building as a booking agency. I moved across the hall in 2008 and seven years later am in LA at the Windish Agency with a roster of about 45 artists.
What do you perceive to be your area of expertise, and how did you gain experience in this field? As an agent my area of expertise is certainly touring, booking and everything along the way.

Is this your first BIGSOUND? Indeed.
What will you be primarily discussing during your appearance at the BIGSOUND conference? Visiting from the US I will be discussing touring international artists in the States. Both what happens and needs to happen to make it work for artists and what artists can do to successfully plan their US campaigns.
What are you hoping that people will be able to learn from your panel/interview? I hope that people will have a better understanding of what we do and in general answer any questions I can about successfully touring in North America.
What are you expecting to take away yourself from your visit to BIGSOUND? I have a lot of ties to Australia; I represent Australian artists in the US and I book US artists into Australia as well. I look forward to meeting more of the Australian music industry, seeing more Australian artists, cities and venues.
