Short description of your band and your music: We play sad, aggressive music.
Has the party side of the music industry been all you were hoping for so far in your career? We don't really party. Tea and cigarettes is about as far as it goes, aside from the few alcoholic beverages at a show. So that was never part of the motivation to do music.

What is the best thing that's happened to you/your band so far? Putting our album out this year and everything that's followed has been a great experience. Putting your music out there can be kinda scary but the reaction has been amazing.
Are your ambitions mainly artistic or commercial? Mainly artistic. We just try to be as creative as we can be expressing ourselves musically and having fun with it. I think if you do that the commercial side might take care of itself.
Is your music best rendered in the studio or the live realm? We try to approach it separately. The recordings are their own thing and a more personal experience for the listener, whereas the live versions take on a more communal mentality between us and anyone watching.
If you could have any act past or present join you on your next tour who would you tap? I think Jay Reatard would have been a really interesting guy to tour with.
What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? We'll take in as much as possible. It's important to us that we're making the most of our opportunities, so we want to continue to learn how to improve our process across all areas.
What acts are you looking forward to checking out at the BIGSOUND showcase? High Tension will be a treat, as well as Fait, but any artists we see at BIGSOUND are sure to be amazing.
Why should people come and see you from amongst the many cool bands at BIGSOUND? You don't want us to be the one that got away.
