Give us a short description of your music: I'm not a stranger to self-reflection and I write what I'm feeling at the time. I've been told I am a lady that raps with a relentless precision that is "conscious and cheeky" - Joelistics.

Which acts are on your must-see list at BIGSOUND? Temgazi, imbi the girl.

Why should people come and see you among the many amazing bands at BIGSOUND? I'm not sure how to answer this question! Just know you won't be disappointed!

What music trends do you think are dominating right now, and do you have any predictions for the coming year? Cross-genre collaborations.

In your career to date, what have been the key watershed moments? Seeing my name amongst the incredible artists on the long-list for the Corner Award; my manager telling me Dallas Woods said yes to collaborating with me; BIGSOUND; Ricochet Songs songwriting camp made me realise how much I really do want to have a successful music career.

What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? As much as I can on both a local and international level.

What do you identify as the most pressing issue impacting the Australian music industry at present? In my opinion, I think artists are being made to feel as though they need to be an advocate on political topics instead of just being creative artists.

What is the best bit of advice you've been given to prepare for your time at BIGSOUND? Take in as much as you can and to just be myself.

When and where is your BIGSOUND showcase? 3 Sep, The Elephant Hotel, 9.40pm; 5 Sep, The Wickham, 10.30pm.
