Currently touring some of Australia's universities, we asked Basenji about some of his favourite school films.
BASENJI is currently on a university tour that takes him around the country to perform for the time-consumed and noodle-eating students of Australia. Every stop on the tour is free and since it is called the Homework Tour, we asked Basenji about his favourite school-based films because well, it just felt right!
Hackers (1995)
"Such an iconic film! every single details from the cast, to the costumes and concept is just perfect. I probably rewatch this at least once every six months"

The Craft (1996)
"What a beautiful twist on high school cinema - so perfectly dark and such a nostalgic soundtrack."
Mean Girls (2004)
"Duh."
The Breakfast Club (1985)
"I watched this on my flight to America so it's still feeling pretty fresh. It was really hard not to make this list just five John Hughes films."
Donnie Darko (2001)
"I mean, this is just one of the best movies ever maybe. Also super cute having both Gyllenhaal's on screen at the same time."
Thirteen (2003)
"I think I was exactly thirteen years old when I watched this for the first time. I thought it was completely insane. Also, at the time I think I had a major onscreen crush on Evie Zamora."
