Rumours have swirled around Nine Inch Nails embarking on a world tour this year – some US dates have leaked online, and the band’s official Facebook page linked to a new event yesterday.
It seems that this week may have been when the American rock music pioneers planned to reveal the world tour dates, but due to the devastating, ongoing fires in Los Angeles, they’ve pushed the announcement back.
In a statement on social media, the band wrote: “Since some dates and information about our world tour have leaked we are confirming that yes we will be touring and will provide more details soon.
“We are all watching the devastation that is unfolding in California and have paused our announcement while people try to deal with all that is happening.”
In a follow-up slide, the band shared resources people affected by the fires might need.

The news of a world tour comes a month after singer Trent Reznor confirmed that the band is returning to work on new music.
The last records released under the Nine Inch Nails name were 2020’s ambient double-header Ghosts V: Together and Ghosts VI: Locusts, released on the same day for free download at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Before that, the band dropped 2018’s Bad Witch.
However, Nine Inch Nails members Reznor and Atticus Ross have remained busy, with a total of ten film scores credited to the pair arriving since their last efforts as the band.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Reznor said of new music plans: “We’re taking the inspiration we’ve garnered and funnelling it into a Nine Inch Nails project, which we’re working on now. We’re ready to be back in the driver’s seat.”
In April, Reznor revealed that the band was starting to work on new music and teased a “cooler” tour.
“We can write a better Nine Inch Nails record, I think,” he said. “We can put on a cooler tour. We are aimed to do that. But man, what if we try to do that?”
Reznor’s latest statements about touring should entice fans. In 2023, he said that the band had no plans to tour.
