Chaka Khan, Toto & More Join Bluesfest Line-up In Fourth Artist Announcement

We’re just three months away from this year’s Bluesfest, and today, festival organisers have dropped an epic fourth artist announcement.

Chaka Khan, celebrating over 50 years in music, will perform exclusively at Bluesfest. Other music legends heading to Byron Bay this Easter long weekend are Toto and Christopher Cross.

Maoli, Clarence Bekker Band, Hussy Hicks, Eric Stang, The Steele Syndicate, and The Royals will also perform at the festival.

Chaka Khan was recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and has spent five decades captivating audiences with her unparalleled R&B classics, I’m Every Woman and Ain’t Nobody. Conversely, Toto are still one of the most enduring rock bands of the ‘70s and ‘80s. With singalong hits like Africa and Rosanna, Toto remain a musical powerhouse.

Bluesfest organisers unveiled the first artist announcement for this year’s event last August. The second announcement, featuring all Australian artists, dropped in September. The third announcement landed in December.

The acts on the fourth artist announcement join Crowded House, Gary Clark Jr, Allison Russell, Brad Cox, WILSN, Kasey Chambers, The Cat Empire, Missy Higgins, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, Rodrigo y Gabriela, John Butler, Budjerah, Miss Kaninna, Fanny Lumsden, Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram, Rag’n’Bone Man, and many more at this year’s Bluesfest.

In December, Bluesfest Festival Director Peter Noble backflipped on his statement that this year would mark the end of Bluesfest, stating in an interview: “We’re probably the best-selling festival in Australia at the moment. We’ve been shown that people care about events and culture.”

Tickets to the 2025 Bluesfest, which will take place from Thursday, 17 April, to Sunday, 20 April, are available now on the Bluesfest website.
