Album title? The Road
Where did the title of your new album come from? From a song on the album, it speaks of the need to continually move forward; keep creating, don't stagnate. Shine your light down a darkened street, walk tall and stand your ground, that's The Road.
How many releases do you have now? As Just A Drummer, two singles; as Red Ochre one single and three albums; as Glad & Dave's Dirt Band, one album.

How long did it take to write/record? It began 12 months ago collecting thoughts on an iPhone. Then a week of intensive songwriting. The recording took two days. We set up in a great room with a wonderful engineer and went for it.
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? The overall theme is entrapment and release. Rebirthing, if you like. That's why there are religious references, such as Rolling Stone, and a come-what-may attitude in Get Me To The Devil On Time.
What's your favourite song on it? Get Me To The Devil On Time — I love the energy of the guitars and brass and the sentiment the song conveys.
Will you do anything differently next time? Yes, because each time you record should be unique. Working live was a real treat, it added the energy and urgency we were after and minimised the thinking.
When and where is your launch/next gig? 13 Aug, Lazybones Lounge.
