'We Were Inspired To Get Loud': Silversun Pickups On 'Tenterhooks' & Their Long-Awaited Return To Australia

Seekae

Seekae was a Sydney-based electronic music group. They formed the group under the name Commander Keen in reference to the early-'90s MS-DOS video game series, later changing the name to an elongated version of Commander Keen's initials (CK) after realising the name was taken by a Scottish band. They released their debut album The Sound of Trees Falling on People in 2008 and released the follow-up +Dome in 2011 and the EP 3 in 2012. The band released their third album The Worry in September 2014. The group parted ways in 2016, following a final show supporting The Jesus and Mary Chain.

OutsideIn Festival
Some seriously forward thinking music, with a couple of classic acts for good measure.. Now entering its third year, Sydney boutique music festival OutsideIn have not surprisingly announced a cracking first-round line-up for their 2014 event, raving in to Sydney’s Manning House complex on Saturday 29 November. As mentioned, it's a stellar mix of old and new, headed by '90s hip hop pioneers The Pharcyde, along with Sydney three-piece Seekae, Germany's Pantha Du Prince, Giraffage, and '80s throwback synth-lords Client Liasion. Check out the full line-up below, and click the poster to head to the OutsideIn Festival website for more info. Or in our case, to start planning how we're gonna afford to fly over to Sydney for this epically good time. Like OutsideIn on FACEBOOK or head to the EVENT PAGE.

Seekae - Test & Recognise (HWLS Remix)
Their national tour is looming, and this remix of the first album single is glorious.. London/Sydney trio Seekae's upcoming national tour is fast approaching, in anticipation of the release of their upcoming third LP, The Worry. A little while back they dropped the first teaser of the album - Test & Recognise, again highlighting the addition of more vocal work from group's Alex Cameron. The side project of Perth beat lords Ta-ku and Kit Pop, HWLS, have added their chilled trap touch the track, in what we believe to be their first official remix following a few originals. The combined talent of all involved has crafted a beautiful re-do of an already beautiful (it's Seekae - derr) song. Give it a spin below, and catch Seekae at one of the following dates: Sat 9 Aug: Darwin Festival, Darwin (Jonti not appearing) Tue 12 Aug: The Zoo, Brisbane w/ Jonti & Tincture Fri 15 Aug: The Gov, Adelaide w/ Jonti & Untzz Twelve Inch Sat 16 Aug: Villa, Perth w/ Jonti & Savoir Fri 22 Aug: 170 Russell St
