Electronic

Electronic were an English alternative dance supergroup formed by singer/guitarist Bernard Sumner (of New Order) and guitarist Johnny Marr (of The Smiths). They co-wrote the majority of their output between 1989 and 1998, collaborating with Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, of Pet Shop Boys on three tracks in their early years, and former Kraftwerk member Karl Bartos on nine songs in 1995.

WeDidIt producer Purple swathes us in a moody-pop haze with new track Purple.. Lisbon-born, London-based artist Purple is a part of Shlohmo's LA-based label, WeDidIt, which is kind of like a tight, Wu-Tang style collective of producer weirdos. Cop his debut EP Salvation from 2013 to get an introductory feel for his dark, hypnotic sound.  Purple's got a debut album, Silence & Remorse, coming out on WeDidIt around April - today the singer-songwriter gives us the first sample of that debut, by way of Extinction. The vocal-led track's an atmospheric, uplifting, alt-pop/R&B piece, that swings in and out of house-inclined moments. Stream below:
