Introducing Spitfire.
Melbourne's Stay Gold music venue has today officially announced their expansion, with the venue's long-awaited restaurant now complete.
Dubbed Spitfire, the kitchen and bar now occupy the front half of the venue and will give punters a place to head before and after shows.
The venue is the work of the group behind successful Brisbane venues The Brightside, Blackbear Lodge, Blutes Bar and Barbara, as well as the recent Good Things Festival - Ben Turnbull, Paul Goddard, Jesse Barbera & Noah Honeywill - who have partnered with head chef Blair Williams to run the restaurant.
"I wanted the menu to be accessible to all, from families at lunch or the late night after gig crowd," shares Williams.
"I'm doing my own version of the street side 'Souva'. It’s gonna be messy, fun, full of flavour and perfect for all those late night music fans spilling out of the band room," he continues. "We have been trading under the radar for the last couple weeks, while we are putting the final touches on the fitout and facade."
Spitfire will be open Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm, and will have its official launch this Friday 12 April, including sets from RAT!hammock and The Bennies (DJ set), as well as a yet to be announced special guest. To find out more about Spitfire or Stay Gold, head here.
