The two-part doco will air on 3 & 4 March.

HBO has today released the trailer for new documentary, Leaving Neverland, which unveils new sexual abuse allegations made against Michael Jackson.

Following its premiere at Sundance last month, the two-part documentary will air in the US on 3 and 4 March. The Music has contacted the local HBO broadcaster (Foxtel) to advise where and when the series will screen in Australia.

Leaving Neverland explores the experiences of two men - Brisbane-born Wade Robson and James Safechuck - who alleged they were abused by the late singer when they were children.

As Pitchfork reports, the Jackson estate slammed the documentary following its premiere, saying in a statement, "The film takes uncorroborated allegations that supposedly happened 20 years ago and treats them as fact.

"These claims were the basis of lawsuits filed by these two admitted liars which were ultimately dismissed by a judge. The two accusers testified under oath that these events never occurred. They have provided no independent evidence and absolutely no proof in support of their accusations, which means the entire film hinges solely on the word of two perjurers."
