Entries are open until 12 November 2018.

The Sunshine State is making preparations to spotlight some of its finest musical practitioners at next year's iteration of the annual Queensland Music Awards, revealing the industry identities enlisted to judge submissions.

The news comes as published and unpublished original songwriters from all over the state are encouraged to submit their tunes across a range of genres including Pop, Rock, Blues/Roots, Country, Hip Hop/Rap, Singer-songwriter, World/Folk, Jazz, Electronic/Dance, Heavy, Regional, Video and Schools.

Songwriters who enter their songs will also be eligible for the $20,000 Song of The Year prize courtesy of The Music and NOVA 106.9.

2018's big winners included beloved indie-rocker Jeremy Neale, who claimed the inaugural Song Of The Year and the Rock Award and acclaimed singer-songwriter Amy Shark, who picked up five gongs on the evening.

The announcement also comes as the deadline for song and video entries looms with submissions for the 2019 event closing on 12 November.
