The band blitzed the remainder of their set, with the unfaltering rhythm section locked into the growling guitar lines and full-throttle vocal melodies of the upbeat anthem Standing In The Ocean to close the night.

Every drum hit came down like thunder, every note lashed out like lightning, an endless and inescapable storm of power and noise and electricity. It was a brutal set of intense songs that drilled you into the floor.

To their credit, clean, sharp drums cut through everything and provided a much needed edge to their sound, and a few upbeat and sing-along tracks allowed The Spitfires to swim back to the surface and send off the night successfully.

The band whipped the crowd into frenzy in the front rows, dropping from soaring highs to harsh and gritty growls, and finishing out the night to an epic rock rhythm.
