Two days into 2013, we might already have seen one of the year’s best gigs.

This was a lovely evening in the company of two delightfully sweet and very talented musicians.

Here's what Robert Townsend thought nailed in this past year.

This ‘greatest hits’, of sorts, has plenty of excellent moments and showcases a really fine songwriter and indeed a name to watch in 2013.

All in all, this is an album that is both interesting and rather rousing.

The eventual result is an often high-energy record, with layered sounds and the hint of Berlin’s electronic influence complementing a classic four-piece band dynamic.
