Hermitude's Most Memorable New Years Eve
Hermitude chat about New Years and more acts are added to NYE On The Harbour.. Hermitude are a formidable force live; with a clear effort made to actually re-create a live performance at every gig they play, which sees the energy become almost palatable in the air. And ahead of their headlining set at NYE On The Harbour we got a hold of Hermitude to spill the guts on what their most memorable New Years Eve was... "One of the most memorable NYE moments for us was Falls Festival 2013 in Lorne, Victoria. We played right after midnight on the main stage, Vampire Weekend had just torn the place to shreds and the party was in full swing. As you can imagine, we were somewhat nervous...maybe nervous as fuck explains it better. Just before we went on someone threw a flare onstage, it landed right into a tangled pile of leads and cable on the monitoring console side of stage. Shit was hectic, there were flames, sparks and dudes running around with fire extinguishers. The stage manager came over

Video: Seekae - The Stars Below
Shot in Bulgaria it continues a trend of intriguing videos from Seekae.. Seekae have just released a beautifully shot, haunting video clip for their current single The Stars Below. The connection between clip and the track itself is limited but conceptually the melding of shadows and varying hues of blues reflect the overall melancholy as Alex Cameron states, 'Do you even know what real men do?' And throughout the track bounces a CGI metallic ball which reflects the fast-paced percussion. But it's the scenery that makes the clip stand-out with it's high-vaulted ceiling and flowing buttresses that are highlighted through the clever use of angles. The location in question is Bulgaria with the town of Bankya chosen for the shoot and while it is not stated where in Bankya it was filmed it could be the Mineral Baths as the town is famous for it's mineral springs.   Seekae play next year's St Jerome's Laneway Festival - info/tickets HERE. Video: George Maple - Vacant Space [A Live Recording]
Amazing music video in-bound.. Beauty is in the simplest of things. And George Maple's live recording of Vacant Space is a testament to this. With a throbbing drum beat and strobe in sync we enter a world of mirrors that have cracked into thousands of pieces. But this disintergration has halted momentarily for the viewer. Truly the clip for the live recording is one of the most elemental but astonishingly powerful pieces of film in 2014. And if anything it highlights that George Maple is well and truly on her way to becoming a star, something that was pretty much clear with her track Talk Talk. You can watch the video clip for Vacant Space below, and if you want to gain some insight into George Maple you can read our interview with her HERE.  Follow George Maple: FACEBOOK

Create & Explore 005 - Loston x Adam Borello
A seamless conversation between musician and photographer.. Create & Explore 005 - Loston x Adam Borello is the fifth collaboration to emerge out of Ta-Ku's creative project that brings together beatmakers and photographers in one seamless conversation. Both producer Loston and photographer Adam Borello hail from Western Australia. The clip shows initial footage Perth before it merges into more natural shots of Indonesia creating a beautiful balance between urban landscapes and natural beauty. And the almost instrumental track from Loston with it's skittering drum beats and steady percussion perfectly suits the stop-start motion footage. It's truly something to behold and if you're interested you can watch the other four collaborations HERE.  Follow Loston: FACEBOOK Follow Adam Borello: INSTAGRAM

Video: Electric Mantis - Flips and Flops (Ego's Where The Wild Things Are AV Edit)
It's an visually treat that's only sweetened with the chopped re-work style.. Visual connoisseur and sample extraordinaire DJ Ego is a master of bringing together weird and enjoyable sounds into one noisy mix of passion. Alongside a good dose of eye candy to measure. Just take this edit of Bound 2 featuring Kanye West's video clip mixed into Seth Rogan and James Franco's parody. He's also just released an audio-visual re-work of Electric Mantis' Flips and Flops, sampling Alt-J and Barack Obama having a testy pop. The edit is stylised around Where The Wild Things Are and the plethora of moving and still images from it is a visual treat. This track is the first from Between Dreams, a video mixtape that Ego plans to release in January 2015.  TOUR DATES 10 Jan - Flinders Social, Townsville 16 Jan - Plantation, Coffs Harbour 23 Jan - Cats, Rocket Bar, Adelaide 24 Jan - The Cliff Dive, Sydney 30 Jan - Homestead, Hobart 31 Jan - Capitol, Perth 6 Feb - Cant Say, Melbourne 13 Feb - Alhambra Lo

Video: Chela - Handful Of Gold
Chela drops an 80s' styled video for her latest track, Handful Of Gold. We've all got those places that we go to where the owner will let us get away with more than usual and know our order instantaneously because we've shown up at the store for years. There's this Indian kebab store near me that doesn't even bother asking me what I want, all I have to do is walk in the store and they know what it is I want. Chela's music video for Handful Of Gold is exactly the case as we see her pop and lock in a Taco store in the middle of the night. It has that drunk-with-all-your-friends-feeling but I don't think I've ever looked so happy at that time more extremely hungry. Either way it oozes that playful 80s' feel with some interesting fashion choices to boot.  Follow Chela: FACEBOOK

Video: Belle & Sebastian - Nobody's Empire
Belle & Sebastian have just released a video for their track Nobody's Empire.. Belle & Sebastian have just released a video for Nobody's Empire which makes use of pieces of archival footage, fan-sourced film, and footage from the album cover shoot. The song itself is reflective of Stuart Murdoch's medical issues and his struggles as a young man with them. It's a rather endearing piece of indie-pop, with it's the mellow tempo, a steady flow of piano keys and light licks of a guitar. And Murdoch's airy voice suits the steady change in footage especially the use of VHS footage. Nobody's Empire is taken from Belle & Sebastian's forthcoming album, Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance, which will be released Friday 16 January in Australia. New Music: Hiatus Kaiyote - By Fire EP
Grammy nominated band Hiatus Kaiyote have just dropped their electronic, soul infused EP In Fire.. You can listen to the award-nominated single, Nakamarra, HERE. They also played a stunning set in Melbourne as part of a Boiler Room series, which you can re-watch here, along with downloading the audio from the set. They've also just released a three track EP, By Fire, ahead of their sophomore album, Choose Your Weapon, which will arrive in the new year. By Fire as a whole highlights Nai Palm's scintillating voice, the merging of electronic polyrhythms with more traditional rhythm and blues and lashings of otherwordly moods. It's this refreshing distillation of both organic and seemingly artifical sounds that creates a vibrant love affair. The ti
