New: Gunns - The Fool
A free download from WA dreamy garage poppers Gunns, who join San Cisco around Aus' next month.. As is often with bands around these parts (and everywhere, I guess), the members who form WA dream-pop-garage-surf rockers Gunns play in a bunch of other bands. The reason I point this out in this instance is that two of the team (Hamish and James) you - hopefully - know by now as our own garage-rock slackers HAMJAM. Digressions aside, Gunns are about to join San Cisco (listen to their single HERE) on a massive national tour, and are celebrating by ever-so-kindly releasing their single The Fool for free download. Click HERE to do that, or stream it below and check all the tour dates after that. Panda Bear Shares New Video for 'Mr Noah'; Announces New Album
Panda Bear Shares New Video for 'Mr Noah'; Announces New Album. Panda Bear, the solo project of Noah London from Animal Collective, has released a video for a track called Mr Noah. It’s directed by French collective AB/CD/CD, known for their work developing the visual identity of French label Colette, and for videos for Uffie, Lily Allen, and Kitsuné Records. Earlier this year, they signed with Partizan, best known for producing Michel Gondry. Don’t watch Mr Noah if you get motionsick easily; it’s a super dizzying couple of minutes as the camera sways side to side and trails behind some kind of mechanic in blue workwear, following him going up stairs in an obsessive repeat loop, actually it reminded me a bit of Gondry’s clip for Kylie's Come Into My World. Panda Bear is gearing up to release a new full-length solo album entitled, Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper, his first since 2011’s Tomboy. Mr Noah, however, is part of a pre-album release EP, containing three non-album B-sides: ove

Listen: Caribou's BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix
Caribou records an unforgettable set; covering house, soul, rap and psych-rock.. BBC Radio 1 is one dance music’s most iconic brands, and the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix is one of the world’s most loved and listened-to mix shows, and continues to hold respect despite the explosion of many more mix-based radio shows. It allows DJs and producers to really flex their muscles, demonstrate their versatility, and make expansive and memorable mixes, often full of unreleased tracks and exclusive dubs. Any producer who gets selected for an Essential Mix usually goes out of their way to record an unforgettable set. Given this context, we did a little jump of excitement when we saw who the latest contributor to the esteemed mix series was: London-based Canadian producer Caribou (who also DJs/produces under the name Daphni), whose incredible new record Our Love has been given a veritable thrashing in this corner since its release a few weeks back and has already been touted by many music critics as
