Fremantle’s (semi) new Youth Plaza / Skate Park is set to get a workout this weekend thanks to the Norfolk Lanes Youth Festival. This event has slowly built from a small gathering in the laneways of Fremantle to a strong, mini music and cultural festival, featuring some of the city’s best independent music acts. This year, Hideous Sun Demon, Koi Child, Elli Schoen, Kings Justice, Indecision, 3 Minutes of Kaos, Current Mood, Children Under 3, In Denial, and more are all set to play under the Norfolk Pines. There’s also skating and parkour workshops, skate contests (with prizes) Dismantle’s annual bicycle Tweed Run (actually hilarious and mostly self explanatory
