The release lacks the same levels of reckless whimsy that previous LP Avalanche United held in spades, but you can’t deny Vinnie Caruana and the boys have tightened every facet of this rock’n’roll operation.

While we’re still hearing a fairly atypical post-hardcore formula, Unconditional sees Memphis May Fire create something that stands out as opposed to blending in.

There’s just something homely here, something that you can relate to, which is why this incredible post-hardcore statement rings so true.

These songs are written for the front rows, for the friends, for the strangers and believers.

There just isn’t anything that’s really fresh or shocking, with the legends being upstaged tonight by apprentices that are taking their formula and flipping it completely upside-down.

We leave thinking our big beat ride is going to keep trucking on, but sadly Deadmau5 is all style and no substance, taking us on a journey that never really arrives at any destination.
