"The song is a commentary of anxiety, and overcoming feelings of inadequacy and that no one cares."
Tasmanian born and bred Marcus Wynwood has today returned to release music under his own steam and moniker, with his brand new single, Something In My Eye premiering exclusively today via The Music.
On the sentiment of the track, Wynwood stated: "The song is a commentary of anxiety, and overcoming feelings of inadequacy and that no one cares.
"Feeling like you are yesterday's news, or feeling like you couldn't do it. In the song, I say that these feelings are 'never gonna stop me'.
"I couldn't see what I was capable of, because these feelings were blinding me - there was something in my eye. That's kinda the vibe. So I see it as a positive, healing, liberating song."
The video for the single was shot at Wings Wildlife Park, where he and director, David Sturges, were granted access to shoot footage with the Tasmanian Devils.
Check out the new video above ahead of its official release tomorrow.
