In the video ‘Lonersim – Episode 2’ Kevin Parker speaks about the new album and the transformation for Tame Impala since 2010’s ‘Innerspeaker’
The second album from TAME IMPALA titled ‘Lonerism’ was released last week, October 5th on Modular Records. This album has been much anticipated, as TAME IMPALA fans have been waiting two years to see what the mastermind behind the sounds, Kevin Parker would come out with next.
It’s fair to say he has not disappointed, with countless reviews drawing connections between Parker and his sound, lyrics and vocals to great iconic bands and artists from the 1960’s and 70’s, in particular John Lennon. Although, whether Parker intended on this, or particularly cares is a whole different story.. TAME IMPALA have created a sound so distinct and unique to themselves, that although ‘Lonerism’ may echo psychedelic sounds from artists in the past, at the same time this album breathes a new life into the genre, with innovative and skilfully crafted music that sings praise to those involved.
