Iceland have been pumping out some pretty great acts recently. OF MONSTERS AND MEN raced to the top of this year's Triple J Hottest 100, and BJORK, well its bloody BJORK! But one of Iceland’s best exports is the always ethereal, SIGUR ROS.

If you’ve ever layed in a hammock at sunset, or walked through a field of snow on a winter’s morning, you’ll know what SIGUR ROS feel like. They feel more like a state of mind than just a mood.

You can only really listen to them when you’re really REALLY happy, or if you’re really relaxed, or of course you’re watching the credits to a movie. Their song ‘Sticks & Stone’ featured during the credits of DreamWorks’s cutest film, How To Train Your Dragon, and ‘Hoppipolla’ has been featured in the modern fairytale Penelope.

The magic of SIGUR ROS has again been unleashed onto the world again through their new track ‘Brennisteinn’, but the band have taken a darker turn on this track. The video is set in a post-apocalyptic planet and there are monsters everywhere doing their best to survive. It’s edgy and shot beautifully, so take a look and the magic begin.
