NICKY NIGHT TIME, the stage moniker for producer and Van She guitarist Nick Routledge, really squares it off as an animal who only strikes in the dark.
His latest single 'Everybody Together' shows that there's a certain degree of truth in that. Cracking the Aria Club Charts and hanging at the top for five weeks running keeps the numbers game tight and the bodies on the floor at each NICKY NIGHT TIME set are all in parallel to what has been spoken about him. The numbers don't lie.
As 'Everybody Together' snaps into beat, Nicky is in full control. The vocal track is addictive and obsessive and needs no extra embellishment, with the lower end bass supporting the song sonically and with weight, it doesn't adhere to any rules or decree and pounds itself into place.
While I continuously hit the replay button, I discover this song delivering hope and premise like no other; that nothing is impossible, it is a perfectly apt soundtrack for a new ADIDAS adizero commercial, it is not surprising that the accompanying video is of a modestly lightweight girl preparing for her arm-wrestling challenge with her mammoth opponent, very much like most underdog flicks out there.
