Following the release of her debut LP release, For All We Know, angelic singer/songwriter NAO has dropped a powerful video to her single 'Girlfriend'.

Brought up surrounded by a range of genres, from her local church's gospel influences to her brother’s jungle UK Garage and her sister’s 90s and 2000s R&B style, NAO has garnered her musical influences into her own. After honing her songwriting skills throughout the past couple of years, the singer has been put her skills to the test, producing the likes of her debut EP, February 15 which placed her third in the high-profile BBC Sound Poll.

Her latest album, For All We Know, already killing it in the UK and internationally. 'Girlfriend' showcases NAO's distinctive vocals, and sees her delve further into the world of electronica with hard-hitting rhythms and soaring synths.

Check out the vid as it takes us back to the early 2000's with old-fashioned curtain trimmings and patterned wallpaper. Featuring a slew of strong women and some stunning nostalgic imagery, and focussing on a strained relationship, the clip ties beautifully with the song as NAO narrates the lovestory.
