It was not all that long ago that we brought you news of Australian, summer drenched electro dudes MIAMI HORROR dropping their new track 'Wild Motion (Set It Free)' - and now we bring you the news of the visuals that go with it.
Director Sebastien Borckenhagen said he drew inspiration for the clip from Australian artist Ken Done, as well as clay-mation and vintage Prog-rock album covers. The clip was created by Borckenhagen drawing with pastels on black paper and recording short gif-like animated clips, playing around with the pace until he was satisfied that the visuals reflected the high levels of energy so present within the track.
The result is simple, vibrant imagery that encapsulates the feeling that MIAMI HORROR's music has the ability to bring with it. The swirling colours, fun child-like animation and the abstract flashes of colour that appear on the screen make for an eye catching, whirlwind of a clip that perfectly suits the fun, carefree vibe of the track.
Wild Motion (Set It Free) is a bubbly, tropical track complete with plenty of synths and bouncy guitars, a teaser for what is to come from the now LA based group, who will be releasing their sophomore album later in the year.
