This is probably the most mesmerised I’ve been since that Nyan cat thing happened to the internet a couple of years back. Everyday Robots is one of the first singles off of British music connoisseur DAMON ALBARN’s debut solo album.
Known for his fabulously memorable work as frontman for global giants BLUR as well as being principal vocalist and songwriter for internet-virtual-super-group GORILLAZ, ALBARN has had nothing short of a if I may say, stellar career as a musician. Accompanying the release of the track, is a fitting video for this.
The actual video features a live sculpting by artist AITOR THROUP with CGI software of Albarn’s facial dimensions, creating an accurate 3D rendering. The video takes you from a simple cranial scan, through to a rather complex addition of clay-looking juts on the axes of the face, and then finishing with an astounding 3D model of Albarn’s head.

Definitely keen to hear this debut album from DAMON ALBARN, and to see what else is to come...
