CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY YEAH have a new video surfing the web-waves… I’d forgotten that they were y’know, a thing, because I’d been so distracted listening to Alec Ounsworth’s solo album, Mo Beauty. There was an album out last year- Hysterical, I’m just one of those people who is always late.
But not too late on this one! This video only came out a few days ago and it’s worth a watch. Do you like paint and old movies? There’s paint! Splattered over what looks like stills from old movies but were probably just taken in a studio. Who cares!? I like the technique!
It’s a roaring little indie tune, and the clip accompanying it is original, a little morbid and bizarre and very very cool. I can see where they’re going with the title ‘Hysterical.’ It’s a bit of a visual overload, and if you’re on a little bit of LSD (which we at Purple Sneakers do not condone) it may wig you out.
