Album Review: Thundamentals - So We Can Remember

It starts a bit slow, but So We Can Remember rises to the hype quickly with packed-tight beats and soothing vocal harmonies giving this hip hop release a lot more than just spat rhymes. In a market heavy with new talent, Thundamentals have taken a less bombastic approach than their contemporaries, paying dividends in chilled, streamlined tunes. The songs take a more subtle approach, and a more classic tone in the rhythms, but the rappers can still pump it up when they want to. Single Something I Said is a definite standout, its flow unfolding on point.
