When they’re not belting each other on the ice hockey rink or throwing back Tim Horton’s donuts, those Canadians have a penchant for writing some handy mainstream rock.

Sure, Bieber might get the headlines and Arcade Fire win the awards, but Vancouver’s Theory Of A Deadman have been doing the rounds for over a decade, their driving rock delivered with more edge than Nickelback ever had. There’ll be a massive fanbase waiting with bated breath for their fifth record. They won’t be disappointed; Theory Of A Deadman’s earnest sound – especially on Angel – is surprisingly refreshing.
