A refreshing, classy release that stays true to itself and what it wants to achieve.

A very successful crowdfunding campaign has paid off for Australian-born, now Brooklyn-based soul outfit The Hipstones, with their third album Wise Man possessing a much more polished, sophisticated sound. They've put together a collection that honours the classic soul and jazz of eras gone, but is laced with modern production values, making it relevant enough today. Highlights include the funky Nothing In The World, the ambient-soul vibe of Fill My Heart and the smooth title track and first single. A refreshing, classy release that stays true to itself and what it wants to achieve.
