Presented by AfterDark Theatre, The Barbaroi promises to lead the audience down the rabbit hole, and it does so emphatically. There is no dialogue from any of the performers throughout this show, this includes even the slightest 'yep' for when one performer is going to climb onto another, and it's this element that really draws the audience in, capturing their full attention. Performances with this vocal aspect, whether it's an MC or just the sounds of effort, tend to draw the attention away from the magic of what is happening on stage.
To be in sync with the music is a task in itself, too, but one the cast executes time and time again, flawlessly. The juggling act, which I won't spoil for you, is out-of-this-world brilliant. A polished performance that will leave you in awe.
