"Any musical is only as strong as its cast, and Singin' In The Rain has one of the standout best ensembles we have ever seen."

Singin' In The Rain is a fun, crowd-pleasing musical extravaganza. Fans of traditional musical theatre or anyone who loves the movie (and that's everyone, right?), this is undoubtedly for you.

Any musical is only as strong as its cast, and Singin' In The Rain has one of the standout best ensembles we have ever seen. The energy of the cast was boundless and the choreography was not only stunning, it was perfectly delivered by every supporting cast member — not a single weak link in the ensemble. We really wish the same could be said of Adam Garcia in the lead role of Don Lockwood. His energy flagged significantly behind the rest of the cast, as did his dancing and singing. The rest of the cast were so strong however that it rarely caused an issue, as there was always something fantastic happening on stage. Jack Chambers (as vaudevillian sidekick Cosmo Brown) absolutely stole the show — a truly believable performance with the spot-on comic timing this role calls for; Make 'Em Laugh was a big highlight of the show. Erika Heynatz was similarly hilarious as Lina Lamont, and Kathy Selden was flawless as Gretel Scarlett.

Despite some unfortunately flat moments from Garcia, this was a spectacularly delivered piece of theatre, and one we'd recommend to anyone who loves that simple, uncomplicated and spirit-lifting traditional musical theatre experience.
