Pop alchemist RAC releases the first part of his debut album, Strangers, and it's a totally airtight fat-free sugar hit offering immediate satisfaction that evaporates on completion. Producer André Allen Anjos ferociously attacked alternative-pop early in his career, creating first class collages out of the pieces, but this collection sees him nabbing outside talent (Tegan & Sara and Bloc Party's Kelé are examples) to help write his own original material. It's bubblegum dance-pop that has absolutely no weight, but is made extremely well – the best-looking shirt you've ever seen, made using the cheapest material possible.
