It seems Reptile Youth keep on coming back for more. This time around, we have the AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE of the brand new clip for their latest single 'Fear'.
We've done this kind of thing before with the dudes from REPTILE YOUTH, but it seems they keep on coming back for more. This time around, we have the AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE of the brand new clip for their latest single 'Fear'.
They're definitely not new to the video clip game, as we only just brought you the clip for 'Morning Sun' last week. And even though every video they produce is to a ridiculously high standard - this one is on a new level. Directed by Icelandic Ellen Lofts & Thorbjörn Ingason, who form the “Narvi Creative” unit. Lofts, a stylist, costume designer and director, and Ingason, an art director, illustrator and graphic designer takes you on a journey into a black and white, super widescreened, beautifully landscaped world.

Shot on location in both Iceland and Denmark, the clip is filled with desolate beaches, baron landscapes and amazing snow filled mountain ranges which perfectly illustrate the love song 'Fear' might be. The leads are Reptile Youth frontman Mads Damsgaard Kristiansen and Iceland’s new star model Kolfinna K, who’s career only spans a year, but who already walked for Versace, Prada, Fendi, Giles, Acne and Marc Jacobs amongst others.
As Kristiansen wails with real emotion through each lyric, whilst it cuts in and out from Kolfinna, it almost seems like the two are separated by all this beautiful, yet all encompassing landscapes - creating a deep and meaningful take on 'Fear'. Check it out (for the first time, woop!) below.
Oh, whilst we have you hear, the EP package comes with a bunch of cool remixes coming from Kasper Bjorke, Broke Party and Slow Hands. The latter we have for steaming purposes below, which is a soulful and dreamy re-working of the original, basing itself around soft piano chords.
The 'Fear' single + Remix Package is out now, whilst all of those remixes are going to be a part of the Reptile Youth Remix LP, which to be released May 6.
