There’s an elusive logic to what he does; it’s just so slippery that by the time you’ve laid half a finger on it, he’s moved onto the next mind-mincing tangent and any cohesive theory about his method you might’ve clawed together has collapsed like a house of cards. Foot is still one of the most creative comics of his generation.
