Laurel Halo has shared a special new hour-long mix featuring unreleased music from herself, DJ Python, Julia Holter and many more artists.
LAUREL HALO recently shared a new hour-long mix that's not like any other you'll probably hear this week. Presented by Camden Arts Centre, Haus der Kulturen der Welt and Ignota Books, the mix is part of a new series "sonic fictions," according to the description.
Further in the description of the mix, Halo explained the series is "inspired by "The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction" by Ursula K. Le Guin, reimagining the mix as a container, medicine bundle & chronometer telling the time on another world."
100% of the mix is comprised of unreleased material from Halo herself, as well as "sketches, drafts, field recordings and archival sounds" from the likes of DJ Python, Julia Holter, Shanti Celeste, Yu Su, Lafawndah, and many more.
Halo also confirmed that some of the spoken word heard throughout the mix will be included on a forthcoming EP titled World Without Heroes.
