"These guys can seriously play, but their talent is almost overwhelmed here by some incredible over-production."

Bagging emerging Aussie acts isn’t cool, but sometimes we all need tough love.

Coffs Harbour trio Luna Grand are clearly looking at bigger things, changing their name from Uncle Jed and delivering debut EP, Patience Love. These guys can seriously play, but their talent is almost overwhelmed here by some incredible over-production. The first three tracks are all pretty much bland R&B power ballads, vocalist Laura Stitt doing her best The Voice audition. Things improve significantly with Archie, a soulful epic that really hits home and shows what these guys will be capable of next time around.
