Live Review: There's "No Way Out" from Xavier Omär ft. Goldlink

Georgia singer/song writer Xavier Omär collaborates with Washington based rapper Goldlink on the track 'No Way Out'. This is the second song to be released with Red Bull Sound Select and a solid, slow paced R&B joint.

The production is done by Hit-Boy, a producer who has worked with so many big names listing them all would hit my word count. The beat is jazzy, slow and dark, with a deep rumbling bass that hosts a multitude of synths and jazz samples to create the perfect atmosphere for the vocalists to show off their skills.

Xavier Omär is a R&B singer through and through. He has the perfect voice for singing these ethereal vocals. From the soft spoken singing at the start or the multiple layers that blitz into the chorus, Xavier Omär shows off how versatile his singing is over the beat.

The guest verse that ends the song is done by 2015 XXL freshman Goldlink and he does not disappoint. His smooth, almost playful delivery of his bars is enjoyable as always, and he really brings everything together by contrasting Xavier's vocal style with his own.

'No Way Out' is a trip, it sets up this beautiful and yet dark sound that you can get lost in. There's clearly a lot of love put into this track, and is the second song in a two-song release from Red Bull Sound Select. Listen to the release here.
