We love a good remix here at Purple Sneakers, and we're especially joyous bearing the knowledge that we occasionally receive the very first listen; just like we have with ISLND's take on Wookie's 'The Hype' 2.0.
As opposed to the gentle soar of the original track, Sydney three piece ISLND have truly thickened the body of Wookie's 'The Hype' 2.0. Still treating the guest vocals of Eliza Doolittle heroically, the songs backdrop has been painted with a carnival of smacky beats, aquatic synth patterns, sparkling clean percussion and an extremely bold keyline.
Congregating this mass alongside a few reverberating vocal tweaks has seen ISLND open up a brand new chapter in the life of 'The Hype' 2.0, and we couldn't be more keen for a boogie.
Perfectly timed for a pre-Summer release, ISLND's revamp of Wookie's (ft. Eliza Doolittle) 'The Hype' 2.0 will be officially available on Monday, 13th October via Neon Records and Strictly Rhythm. It will feature as part of 'The Hype's remix package, with neighbouring renditions from the likes of Motez, Young Franco, Cln, Sweetland and Set Mo.
