Melbourne-based artist WOLFJAY and Brisbane artist AUSTEN have linked up to produce their latest heartfelt track 'Very Soon, Very Frequent'.

The collaboration between the pair first began as Wolfjay and Austen were living together during isolation restrictions, which then lead to an impromptu recording session that the track from born from.

In a press statement, Wolfjay said "I had just gotten to New York to play my first international shows when COVID-19 hit and the festival i was there for was cancelled.

We got straight on a plane back to Melbourne and went into quarantine, which was where Very Soon, Very Frequent was born."

Taking on an new level of intimacy, the track creates an exciting sense of unification between the two artists as it brings together their unique sounds, bridging comfortability with vulnerability.

Inspired by an email that Wolfjay sent to a friend about the physical and emotional toll that isolation brought on them, 'Very Soon, Very Frequent' stems from a spiral of overthinking. "The song is about crossing paths with someone at the exact moment you can help them and they can help you, and even if it's only for a little while, it's exactly what you both need."
