GOLDEN FEATURES has already shown us that he is one of Australia's best upcoming producers and after his Splendour In the Grass set earlier this year, it would be hard to find someone who disagrees.
The original mix of 'No Fun' is fantastic, but putting in the hands of GOLDEN FEATURES is probably the best thing anyone could have done with the track.
The new remix has very eerie tones that simmer beneath twinkling synths. The simplistic nature of the work lends itself to being very versatile, listening wise. It suits any occasion and really gives off an atmospheric tone, even as the heavier bass throbs it's way into the mix later in the track. The warped vocals, that have become the identifying factor of 'No Fun,' are highlighted in the mix and blend extremely well with the deeper sections of the track.
'No Fun' may feel like it broods a lot more than it's other remixes her, but GOLDEN FEATURES has created a vary unique mix that we'll be hearing for a while.
