Skeleten's most recent single, 'Live In Another World' was his most dance worthy yet. Wowing audiences with spacey, slow jams with his earlier singles, 'Live In Another World' acted as an ode to Fitzgibbon's earlier work in the dance and club scenes. Now, a couple months after its initial release, it's fitting to see soon to be two of Australia's biggest dance exports combining on a remix package for the single. Both remixes reflect and echo the tracks original uplifting sentiment within the very distinct sonic worlds of both Moktar and Jennifer Loveless.
Moktar has burst onto the scene, with two new singles, 'Silk' and 'Lemon' as well as a soon to be released debut EP on Steel City Dance Discs. Moktar adds his Egyptian flare to his rendition of the track both in its percussive and melodic elements. They combine perfectly with a warped version of Skeleten's original version, creating a glitched out, yet equally as infectious version of 'Live In Another World', "Stoked to have remixed one of my favs and a great friend Skeleten,” says Moktar. “It also happens to be my favourite track of his to date. It was a lot of fun throwing in my touch on this single".
Jennifer Loveless on the other hand, rather than flipping the song on its head, utilises its elements to create a more amplified and pronounced version of the original. She extends the house and club ethos of the track, creating a beautiful reflective and summery house cut. It's warm and gorgeous, a vibe we have come to know and love from Loveless. On her ‘Endless Arvo Mix’, Loveless says, “For this remix I wanted to highlight the groove existing in the original track - it’s an endless mover.”
